 VEAA Submissions

Deadline for submission
is April 1st 2012

• The candidate must be between 19-35 y/o and must live on Vancouver Island.
  

• The candidate must be committed to coming to Victoria for exhibitions and creating new work for the gallery during his/her one year of representation.

•  The candidate must not have gallery representation and little to no exhibition history (coffee shops and other award shows are acceptable).
  

• The candidate must submit their digital portfolio in a 'zip file' format including 6 jpegs of your work titled accordingly: "your name, title, dimensions, medium".   ie: Ben Westergreen Synergize 12X12 oil on canvas.
  

• All 6 pieces in your digital submission must be available for sale and must be reserved for VEAA.

• The candidate must include a separate document including an artist's statement, biography and list of works clearly indicating the dimensions, year, medium and title.

• Please clearly outline or highlight which 3 pieces are intended for opening night ( on offer for $200 tax included) on your separate list of works.  The other three pieces will be rehung the following day and will be increased in price according to the 'fixed price formula'.

• No substitutions for work will be considered so please make sure the 6 pieces you enter are committed to the show.
  

• No editorial changes to biography, artist statement or opening night pieces will be accepted.

• All showpieces (opening night pieces, 3 per artist)  will be priced at $200 (tax included) for one night only.
  

• Deadline for VEAA submissions is April 1st, 2012.

• Please make sure that you include 6 pieces in a 'zip file' and that these pieces are available for sale.

• Included with your artwork should be a separate list detailing the title, size, year, medium and artist's price for each piece.  URL to blogs or websites are also acceptable.

• Please also include an artist's statement and biography.
  

• Please note that there is NO AGE REQUIREMENT for VEAG submissions
